My daughter made this on Father's Day, it really was good!

French Toast Casserole
1 10 oz. loaf French bread cut up into 1 inch cubes (10 cups)
8 eggs
3 cups milk
4 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 tsp. salt (optional)
TOPPING
2 Tab. butter or margarine cubed
3 Tab. sugar
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Maple Syrup (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Place bread cubes in the greased 9 x 13x2 inch baking dish. In a mixing bowl beat eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla & salt if used.
Pour over the bread and cover & refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. Remove from fridge 30 minutes before baking. Dot with butter combine sugar &
cinnamon and sprinkle over the top. Cover with foil & bake it at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out
clean. Let stand for 5 minutes. Serve with syrup if desired. 12 servings
