Registered User Posts: 5 06/04/2009 18:42	Tags : None Well I guess you can pretty much call me new on here.. I have not been here in many years, but I have been to Tunica awhile ago. Well I have decided its time to go back! My birthday is the weekend of June 12th and I won some tickets to see keith urban in concert in Memphis. Sooo I figure I will go to memphis Friday night... then head to Tunica Sat Morning. The last time I went I stayed in the Hollywood Casino and it was great. I spent most of my playing time there...This time I am thinking Harrahs since I cant get a free room there.., but if I recall isnt it a little bit away from the other casinos? I plan to do quite a bit of drinking and probably going to play alot of poker this time. Last time it was mainly slots..Drinks are still free right? Still pretty good at comping buffets? Anyone else going to be there the same weekend?! More the merrier!

Registered User Posts: 5 06/04/2009 21:04	I actually didnt realize that the Sheraton and Horseshoe was apart of Harrahs...So I went ahead and got reservations for 2 nights at the Sheraton with my comps...Hope that was a good idea..free is free right?! So which casinos are close to the Sheraton..is it a nice hotel?

Registered User Posts: 2481 06/05/2009 07:13	The Sheraton is a nice hotel, the only complaint I have ever heard is that the bathrooms lack privacy. The Sheraton shares a very large cul-de-sac with the Horseshoe and the Gold Strike casinos so you have three places to gamble within walking distance if you get bored at one or the other. Well, my wife has MS and cant walk much so she cant do that but for a normal healthy person they are close enough to walk back and fourth.

Registered User Posts: 17 06/05/2009 11:52	We just had a nice trip a couple of weeks ago and stayed at the Sheraton. We really like it there. I do not believe they have a poker room but there are free shuttles to Harrah's and I know they have a poker room because they made announcements inviting players about every five minutes. The Horseshoe, right next door to the Sheraton, has a poker room. I'm not sure about the Gold Strike which is just past the Horseshoe but they are an MGM Mirage property. You can walk thru all three of these casinos to get to the next without being outside for more than a few steps.
