Registered User Posts: 80 12/08/2008 15:54	Wife and I are taking an anniversary trip down there the 21-23rd. GS cut our offers (cut my wife's completely) so I'm not expecting a lot of great deals. Although, when I priced two weeknights at Sheraton, they were much cheaper than what I been used to seeing ($130 total for both nights).

Registered User Posts: 52 12/15/2008 11:41	Leaving for Tunica in 3 days, 9 hours, 20 minutes !!!! I did hear that Sheraton was doubling Fitz coupons in December. Also Fitz is having a Wheel of Fortune Slot Tournament. Has anyone ever been in one of these? Thanks.

Registered User Posts: 396 12/15/2008 15:19	When we were there last week Sam's Town has double points automatically on Tuesdays in December and Gold Strike has automatic double points on Wedensdays in Dec. It sure helped on our dining point comps at Sam's town on Wed. am from Tuesday. It was the only day about 3/5 I would say of our breakfast was paid for. Before their point system change we usually would get enough points daily to pay almost all of our breakfast buffets, this time it was taking off about 2.50 or 3.00 a day each on them. You do get double the amount for food comps instead of cash, that is nice because that is all we want it for anyway. Have a great time! Kathy

Registered User Posts: 52 12/15/2008 22:58	Thanks Kathy. I never get any comps at Sams Town. I have seen you post about Ameristar and Harrah's in the past. Do you live close? I'm in O'Fallon. Being used to the comps in St. Charles/St. Louis, Tunica comps are GREAT !!! I'm a small time player though, so what can I expect. We'll be leaving Thursday after work, and returning on Sunday. Short trip, but really excited.

Registered User Posts: 396 12/15/2008 23:40	OH MY Gosh! I am in O Fallon too! I live North of 70, through old town O Fallon, behind McDonalds! We are not big spenders either, it takes forever to get a buffet at Ameristar now! Our money usually lasts maybe an hour at both Ameristar and Harrah's. The buffets have gotten so expensive at both we rarely eat there anymore, If I am going to spend that much money to eat, I want to go to a restaurant that I really like OR we go to Golden Corral or Hometown buffet, works fine for us. It is much more reasonable to eat in Tunica casinos than it is here, don't you think? Kathy

Registered User Posts: 52 12/16/2008 16:17	Small world !!! We are behind the Target on Hwy K, we probably pass each other in the grocery store. I totally agree about the cheaper food in Tunica. I can't remember the last time we had to pay for food at a Tunica casino. That's part of the reason we love to go down there, it's a cheap vacation.
