A freeze out is when the casino does not take an extra "fee" out of the entry.
Like this says $80 / $100 Freeze the freeze is usually $10 and up that goes to the casino and doesn't go in the pot or to the players. |

Actually, Jen, a freeze-out is a tournament without rebuys. In short, you get your initial chips and thats it (at least in main stream poker terms that is
what it means).
I'm curious, though: It appears that most of the "rebuy" tournaments your rebuy is simply a tip to the dealer. I know they must love these tournaments. |

Hey Brent ,,,,, Thank you. I have only played the ones with no rebuys lol.
I am green. I know on the freeze I played no extra money went to pay the house at registration. All money went to the pot. |

I know Gold Strike runs theirs like the WSOP (they don't state the juice, just that a percentage of the prize pool goes to the house, and sometimes they
will state that some of that goes directly to dealers).
Its in the fine print on the print-out they have at the poker room desk. I have no problem paying juice. After all, it keeps people employed and dealers happy to be working the games. |

Jen and bwbw80, thank you for the info. I have never played a freeze out tournament.
I have played many Hold'Em tournaments with buy-ins here at local places, and really enjoy them. In them, here in town, all of the money goes back to the players. |
