I had a good time in Tunica. 5-22 I played at the Western place where we were staying. Played about an hour and lost 100. Didn't shoot the dice. Won 100 in bj.
5-23 I met with one of your members and his wife at the other place. Not the Movie one or ours. I met him once before at the Majestic in In. about 10 years ago. I think we played there a little over an hour. I shot once not making any pass numbers, naturals, and 0 tens. I think N shot only once and rolled in the low 40s. I won 200 mostly do to his roll.
We went to the Movie place next and I met another member of your group and his wife. I think we played a little over an hour here. I shot twice here. 0 passes, 0 naturals and 0 tens both times. N rolled in the low 30s here. And A had a couple smaller rolls. I broke even here do to the two of them.
Next we went to the Western place. I shot once with 0 passes, 0 naturals and 0 10s here. N had a roll in the 20s. And A had some shorter rolls. They quit and left. I was up about 150 then. I played on for a total of 3 hours. I quit up 300. I didn't roll again. I was saving it for when I would be with them the next day.
The next day, 5-24, we played at the other place in the morning. N & A had a couple short rolls. Nothing big. I was down about 200 without shooting. A told me to shoot once so I did. It seemed like I made all the numbers as points. Probably because it was the first mini roll I've had in a while. Everything felt good like I was going to get one of my big rolls. But I didn't. I don't know how many passes I made. I think I made 1 natural. And I made 2 tens going from 15 to 40 to 120. No collection. I shot again and made a couple passes. And I think 1 natural. And only 1 ten. But again everything was feeling good. N & A left and I was on my own the rest of the trip.
Later that afternoon and again at night I played at the western place. There were 3 other setters there. Two played stick L 1 & 2. And the other played on the right by the hook. I had been betting 5 pass & 5 odds. And when N or A shot I would also place the 6 & 8 for $6 each. The two that played stick L set up and rolled just like N & A. So I upped my bets on them to $12 each on the 6 & 8. The other player knew them. But before he would shoot he would circle the dice around his passline & odds bet two or three times. I lost 100 each of those two sessions. I shot once each session. But I set the dice to the hardways and tried to mimic N & A. Once I made 2 passes, 0 naturals, and 0 tens. I saw them the next day and played about an hour. I again bet $12 each on the 6 & 8 when they shot. I lost another 100. I didn't shoot this time.
5-25 I played at the Horseshoe for about 1 1/2 hours. I was down to $39 out of a $200 buy in. There were two shooters before me. I wanted to bet my usual $15 ten, $6 each on 6 & 8, And $5 pass with $5 odds. So I just bet a $1 hardway on each of them. I got the dice and had a roll. Not too long but a decent roll. I made the above bets. Everything felt good. After about 30 or 40 rolls I noticed the dice were bouncing more on me. I think I started putting less arch and maybe was throwing a little harder. But the shaking and the rest felt good. Then in about 5 rolls first one die went into the rail. Then one went off the table. Then another in the rail. So I tried throwing a little further past the passline close to the back wall to sort of trap the dice. But a couple times they hit the pyramids and bounced higher then the rails. I didn't like that. So I started throwing shorter then my usual spot of hitting before the passline. I rolled about 20 more rolls and then sevened out. I made 8 pass numbers. But only 4 different numbers. I had $2 on the fire and got back 50. I think I made 5 naturals. Once I threw 3 concsecutive 7s. Then later I threw two more. But at this time I was only betting $5 on the passline and not taking odds except $2 oddss for the dealers. I also threw 2 craps. I only threw 3 non comeout 10s. I went from 20 to 60, to 180. Then I dropped $9 and said here's the juice. Go to 540 please. The dealer was figuring out the payout. He separated 360. Then he took out $9 for the juice. And was handing the rest to me. I pointed to the $9 I layed in the come area and said take that $9 and go to 540 please. He said I didn't have enough and to drop him a quarter. I said 180 wins 360. 360 plus 180 is 540. Here's the $9 vig. And put the 540 on the 10. Again he said you need to drop a quarter. I said give me the 31 and just go to 500. But he said drop a quarter again. Now the boxman told him to give me the 31 and give him the rest. He told me to take back my $9 and gave the dealer 5 black chips. I came back out with another comeout 10. My third. And I sevened out.
I'm guessing I rolled about 60 rolls. I only had the dice for 3 different sticks. But the table was half empty and before the last roll I was shooting in less then a minute a roll. My first number was 6 or 8. So I placed the opposite for $6. And I started my 10s at 20 instead of my usual $15. The 1st time I completed the 4 I placed $5 on it. Then next time I completed it I placed $5 each on the 5 & nine. And when I sevened out I had 500 on the 10. I worked the 4 up to 15, to 20, to 40, to 80 to 160. I worked the the 5 or 9 up from 5 to 10 to 15 to 20 to 30 to 40 or maybe 60. And the other up to 30. And I had the 6 or 8 up to 12, to 18, to 24, to 30, to 42, to 60. And the other up to 42, I think. I upped my bets on the other shooters to 5 passline with 10 odds and 5 come with 10 odds. But no one made anything and I quit up $300 for the session.
It was our last night and my wife was disgusted with the slots at our Western place. So we went bank to the pony place at 9:00pm. I kept trying to get my spot back at the same table. But finally at 1:00 am I gave up. I went to another table. There was a man and his daughter there who were at the table when I had my decent roll. He had colored up over 5k and she colored up less then 2k. And every time I circled around the dice talbes, they would motion for me to join the table. Finally my spot opened and I played for about an hour. I shot 3 times. The first I bet my usual except I again started the 10s at $20. And I bet $5 on the fire each time I shot. I could feel I was forcing my throws. Just like in the last third of my last roll. I'll have to correct that fast. My first turn I only made 3 passes. And no naturals. But I was hitting some numbers mostly without bets. I don't think I rolled more then 30 or so rolls. I did take the 10s to 60, to 180 and to 500. No collection again. 7 out. Most of the players wanted me to shoot again. One man was taking the dice. And the father & daughter talked to him in Chinese. And everyone passed the dice back to me. I started with the same bets. I hit 3 early consecutive 10s and was back to 500. And again, a few rolls later, 7 out. 0 passes & 0 naturals. My wife left after my first roll because she said I look like an idiot marking down my info in the pocket notebook after I sevened out. Now a couple other players shot and they passed the dice back to me again. And this time I started with $50 on the 10s. I got a passline number and then sevened out in two rolls.
I was forcing those late night bets hoping I could report a big win to N & A here. But no monster rolls and no big wins. I won $300 in craps for the trip and another $300 in 3 bj sessions.
If I can get the feeling going I am getting some of my old rolls back. So if any of you see me around Chicago, maybe I might be worth a small bet. I blow in my hands like I'm warming them. Then I stand there and keep rubbing them like I'm warming them. Then I lean over the table with a kind of sideways stance shaking the dice by my ear before I toss them. Don't laugh. I'm getting close. I just have to figure out why I changed about two thirds through that first roll at the pony place.
It was great to see you again N. And it was nice meeting your wife. And it was great to meet you A and your wife. This group has some fantastic people.
