Looking for odds for crapless craps bets? |
Lead | ||
|
I will be staying at Sam's Town for 4 nights over the Memorial Day weekend. I've read that in Tunica casinos you pay the 5% commission on buy bets
only if they win. Is this correct? I've also read that some of the casinos offer crapless craps. I use to look on wizzardofodds.com to
see the odds for crapless craps bets. But I can't find crapless craps on that sight anymore. Does anyone have a link where I can find the odds
for all bets in crapless craps?
Thanks. Eddie |

Eddie I'm not sure on buying the odds only on a win but I think you are correct. As far as the odds on crapless craps, I believe the odds are 6 to 1 on
the 2 and 12, 3 to 1 on the 3 and 11 and the odds on the 4,5, 6, 8, 9 and 10 are just like on a regular craps table. Sam's, Fitz, Gold Strike and the
Grand all have crapless craps. Bally's used to and still may, I just haven't been there in a while.

Thank you Diceman 48. I was trying to find the house edge for all the bets in crapless craps. So I asked incorrectly above. It's been at least 10 years
since I tried it. I think passline, come, don't pass and don't come are bad bets in crapless craps. I think they have a house edge of over 3%. And I
think buying the 3 & 11 has a house edge of less then 1%. And I think buying the 2 & 12 has a house edge of less then 1/2%. The buy bets house edge
would only be that low if you only pay the buy commission only on winning bets. I wanted to check this out before my trip. But I have not found a sight that
shows the house edge for bets in crapless craps.

I found the house edge for some of the bets at: http://wizardofodds.com/craps/crapsapx4.html
The house edge is over 5% for passline, come, don't pass & don't come bets in crapless craps. The house edge when placing the 3 or 11 is 6.25% The house edge when placing the 2 or 12 is 7.1429% The house edge when buying the 3 or 11 is 1.25% when the commission is only paid on wins and 4.7619% when the commission is paid when you place the bet. The house edge when buying the 2 or 12 is 0.7143% when the commission is only paid on wins and 4.7619% when the commission is paid when you place the bets. So if I play I won't make any come, don't pass or don't come bets at all. I will only make a minimum passline bet if I decide to shoot the dice once or twice. And if the commission is only paid on winning bets I will try some buying some 2s & 12s and maybe try buying some 3s or 11s if I shoot. Sounds pretty boring. I guess I should just skip crapless craps. But when I use to have some long rolls sometimes I would thow a lot of comeout 7s, 11s and comeout craps. And during long rolls I would sometimes throw a lot of 11s and craps. So I guess I should only try crapless craps if I am going to have a long roll. lol |

I just read that there aren't any don't pass or don't come bets in crapless craps. So I guess about I should have said that passline bets have a
house edge of over 5%. And I guess come bets would have the same house edge as passline bets, if they have come bets in crapless craps.

As I've posted on this board before, I used to play crapless craps quite a bit at Sam's and the Grand when I first started coming to Tunica many
years ago. I had alot of luck but at some point I got to the point that I just couldn't win any money on those types of tables. I much prefer a regular
craps table and have some time now.

For the past 6 weeks or so I've been going to the Four Winds in Mi about once a week. They have a crapless craps table. Sometimes I will watch but I have
never been tempted to play it there. Maybe because it is always a $10 minimum. I was just thinking just in case I get ahead a lot I might try it in Tunica.
I did try it at the Stratosphere this past Labor Day and once years ago when it was called Vegas World. And I did see a lot of money being won on it a few
times in Tunica at the Grand over 10 years ago. I just wanted to check out the house edge for the various bets just in case I do try it.
