Wow - I'll have to check out the names suggested. I'm sure we'll find the perfect name. I spent most of the last two days creating the
"draft" of the purse, sewing, basting, pinning, etc. Still have more to do; however, will then work with someone to create it so it's at least
"usable" to try out. I'll keep you all posted.

I wanted to keep you all up to date with the casino purse. There's much more to creating a purse than we thought but we continue to work with it. We have
started our own design line now (copyrighting our designs and everything). We currently have them on our travel mugs, checkbook covers and luggage tags, but
will be looking for a textile manufacturer to create fabric for us. We thought it would be cool to then use some of our designs on the purses, name the purse
and have our own little Gamblin' Girl purse fob. So planning continue. If any of you happen to know any textile manufacturers please let me know. I
don't think it will be difficult to find one, but suggestions from those you trust are always better.

Gamblin' Girl, if you can get your casino purses into mass production, I can see you being able to market them into casino gift shops, as well. You have a
one-of-a-kind gem there. That's the secret to sucessful marketing - a new idea! Women are so used to carrying purses with them everywhere, that the female
casino-going public is crying out for this very item. Your brand (via the identity fob and logo designs on your purses), will put your company name out into
the mainstream. Then you sell your company for millions of $$, and retire in luxury. *grin*
No, seriously, I think you have a winner of a product in your hands. The key to success is giving the public what it doesn't realize it needs. I would bet that women gamblers are mostly slot players. That means that we are "on the move" most of any given night in a casino. We need to be able to transport our "must-have items" with us easily, and without intrusion on our game playing....light-weight, yet all-inclusive for our needs......with easy access to our most often used things from our purse or fanny pack. You go, Girl! |

Hello Ladies! I know this appears to be a continuous update on the handbag we're trying to create. Thank you all for your patience. What an experience,
I can tell you that. But we do continue on (always with new ideas, etc). In addition to the handbag, we will be creating small cosmetic bags (initially ones
you can carry in your purse) but in the future large travel cosmetic bags as well. Those will probably be ready long before the purse because there's not
much to the style. The design will be similar to our travel mug, checkbook covers and luggage tag designs (simple, but bright and pretty)
For those of you who earlier indicated you'd be interested in reading glasses - well they finally arrived. We placed a small order with an artist out of Illinois. These glasses are quite "spec"tacular! And very unusual and unique. But I did want to pass that along for those that indicated they were at least interested (and that may have been a different thread, so I apologize ahead if I have this info on the wrong thread). Let's just say, you'll certainly be noticed with these fun readers! Wishing you all great gambling success!!! Paula |

Update on Casino Purse | #49 | ||
|
Hello Ladies! As you know, Just Sheryl and I have been working to create a casino purse. It is quite a process to create, design and manufacture one that
would suit everyones needs at an affordable cost to us (at this time). We are continuing to work it out, however. We did want to let you know, however, that
in the meantime we have created two messenger bags, a shoulder tote and cosmetic bags for the female gambler in mind. We have had such a great time creating these
designs and manufacturing the bags ourselves. We hope you like them (until we can put one together with all the bells and whistles).
We hope to see some of you at the upcoming meet n greet in September. Perhaps we can have a few of these items as door prizes. Thanks for your patience in this endeavor! Paula |

I put a post for you on the Casino One site under the MO casinos the other day, here it is; when I saw this post I thought for sure you would see it on there
but you didn't.

Hey Rapunze123!
Last Sunday we went to Ameristar and up on the second floor down at the end where they used to have the poker room, the end farthest from the Hwy. 70 bridge, it is now non smoking and the Dean Martin Party Slots you love are in there. I saw 2 or 3 of them. I tried them again, dang I can't win more than about 15 cents at a time on them! As you walk in that room go immediately to your left and you will find them. As soon as I saw them I thought of you and it just came to me, always a day (actually a week) late . NOW THIS IS ADDING ON TODAY, THURS 11-13-08 Yesterday I bought a brown purse exactly like the black one I bought last Jan. to take to Florida and to Tunica. It is a fabric Nine West with a cell phone pocket on the front, zip top, a bit longer than what I want but I can put alot in it and it is lightweight and has a long strap to wear cross body. I got tired of looking and looking for a brown purse, in the winter and fall I wear alot of short ankle type boots and half of them are brown, plus my Clarks. Kathy |

MoKathy,
Thanks so much for the info on the "Dean Martin Party Slots!" I'll definitely look for them there, when we next visit Ameristar in St. Louis. Since the economy plummeted on us, we are saving our "fun money" fund for a trip to Biloxi, Mississippi. My birthday is January 6th, and we always take a casino trip during that time for my birthday present. We haven't been there since the last surge of hurricanes. I hear that most of the casinos have returned, plus a few more. We love to play golf, and I'd like to get in a few rounds in addition to some casino fun. Do you know if we can use our Total Rewards points toward free rooms at The Grand in Biloxi, Miss.? I'm not too proud to give them a call on their 800 phone and beg. *lol* Glad to hear that you found a good casino purse for your excursions. We have a Nine West outlet near us, and I will make a trip there to see about purchasing a good "casino bag" there. Your's sounds terrific! Thanks again for all your help, ~*Rap*~ |

Just happened to find this thread and thought I would add a note.
1 - My wife has a bunch of LITTLE purses she gets in those $10 sections at many casinos. No straps or fanny packs for her. 2 - Regaring Rewards points and Biloxi. Assume you have tried to book online. Depending on your level of play, free rooms are not hard to get. But yes, you can use your points down there, but I personally prefer Beau Rivage. Grand hotel is nice. Casino is very basic. 3 - Dean Martin slots. I have tried them in 3 casinos. They seem to be the tightest damn machines ever. Just my luck, or lack of. |
