Guess we've been lucky. The only thing close to a scam was when we were in Tunica the first time. some young guy in his 20's tried to pick Sue up at the Horseshoe. She said she was married and walked away. She told me what happened and I told her he was probably after her money especially considerng she was probably twice her age

The crowd at the GS Last Sunday made me a little nervous. There was a group of young men sitting a few machines over from me and they kept walking by looking at my machine. I ignored them and played on. Security was walking around and I knew all I needed to do was get their attention. I also remember a post by someone who said they were called over to a car outside a casino, and were told their family had been stranded, and they had no money for gas. Then someone in the car would reach out, and snatch the victim's purse, as they sped away. I am of a mind, where I wouldn't believe a true story, if they were down on their knees.

We had a scam by a guy at a nearby gas station. He called my husband over to the car and told him that his car had been broken into and his wife's purse had been stolen with $900 in it. He said they had a room at Sam's Town that we could have for $30 gas money. He said he had children with him and showed Jerry the carseat from the backseat. He needed to get home to Georgia. Jen, we don't need for you to get hurt and as a matter of fact....you don't need for you to get hurt! If something like that happens again PLEASE call security or ask any employee passing by to get security for you!

Jen--really what you need to do is call security to take care of this type of person.
As you never know what they may do and the casinos just don't put up with it.

Jen, that is a very scary story. I think they select women playing alone, because of the intimidation factor. And two-against-one makes it even more intimidating. I've had as many as 4 people crowd around me, and keep making comments on how well I'm doing on a machine......even if I'm just getting small wins. I get creeped-out, too.

Nostress there is a delta transit bus (I think that's the name, not local) for casino workers and another bus that takes casino workers to Memphis.

LOL Rap you are so right. Working hard at not working.
I have seen it to the point where people would sleep in their cars and beg for money until they got enough for gas to get home..
Then again I have seen the same people begging for gas month after month.
My worst experience was at the Golden Moon.
I was playing a Bingo type slot (haven't seen it to this day in Tunica) and a couple sat down behind me turning the chairs around from the bank across the aisle and placed...

Had one girl come up to me last week at Horseshoe. told me she just got off work and needed money for the bus home. No buses run to Tunica that I know of.

My experience was along the same vein. The only time we were in LV, a couple of guys stopped us on the street and said they had lost all their money and they were trying to get enough together for a bus trip back home. I proceeded to lecture them on how stupid they were for not buying their ticket before they gambled and how the walk home would give them time to think of how they should plan better next time

every now and then, somebody comes along and starts with their sob story. I just tell them I have lost all my money, sorry I can not help. they usually move along.

I really should call security, but never have.
