Greetings,

I made a trip to T-town this past weekend. (I can't post a trip report - the slots were tooooo unkind!) Anyway, to my dismay Sunday night, there were signs
posted on a huge portion of the machines at Sheraton that they would be taken out of service at 11:00 PM. I was afraid I knew what this meant - they were being
removed. My suspicions were confirmed Monday before I left - they were about to go to that big slot graveyard in the the sky (at least that's what the

You got it - "Aw, ain't that too sweet"! That sounds more like hubby gets it. On the other hand, my wife wants to play somewhere AWAY from me -
she plays video poker as well as nickel and penny slots, and she gets bored around quarter slots. She says they don't do enough to keep her interest, but
that's ok because the games she plays don't interest me, either. Since she has taken a liking to the penny slots, she is just fine with the floor space
they occupy, but she...

Hi Slotfan, guess I wrote that Post when I was " down in the dumps"! My husband really does know that if Mama ain't happy nobody is happy. He
really is very sweet to me. Most of the people we meet in Tunica play the nickel and penny machines and they want us to be near them to play so we can talk and
I want to also. I have left him and gone with them to the nickel and penny section and played but he doesn't like to play without me there. Now is the time
you can say,...

LOL, AL Hound Dog! You'll have to let hubby know if momma ain't happy, then no one is! Nonetheless, it sounds like you've tried appealing to the
Sheraton in the past with limited success. That's a shame. It'll be several months before I get to return to Tunica, but I am afraid what I'll see.
At least I'd save some $$$ if there are fewer quarter slots, but I will be disappointed.

Slotfan TN, I wish I could help you about the Director's name but I forgot all the names over there when we gave up and stopped complaining. I sure do hope
they don't do away with the three reel one line slots. If they do I guess we will stop going. My husband doesn't like the "cute" little games
on the penny and nickel machines and if he doesn't like them we won't go. (I like some of them) but my likes aren't that important! LOL!!

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I do see penny slots are packed while 3 reel quarters are not getting much play. It's interesting Casino Player and Strictly
Slots state that one reason for the popularity of penny slots is because people can play all the lines for only 20 or 30 cents (by betting one coin per line)
and enjoy most of the benefits of the game. However, when I walk past penny machines, it is exactly as ya'll have stated - they are playing max bet, which
is 200 - 300 pennies...

If you walk around the casino, you will find that way more of those "older" machines are sitting empty. And the penny machines are more in use.
Simple business decisions I think. It might make some people mad, but they have to do what makes them more money.

Speaking of penny machines, here is what really hurts. It is somewhat expected or accepted that dollar machines pay at a higher percent than nickel or penny
machines. But, people often play dollars worth of pennies on...

of "us" slot players will play 2 or 3 hundred pennies on a spin where we hesitate to play 4 or5 quarters on a spin. Like everything, it's all
about them making more money. I'm afraid the days of the single line slot are gone forever. That's a shame, but there are enough players who will
