As to the Binion Gold Strike thing. I have heard something was happening on and off many times over the past two years from some Horseshoe employees. I wonder if there really is anything at all going on.

Yesterday Gold Strike laid off all EVS (enviromental services) and stewards. (about 150)
Some of these employees have been with the company since it was Circus Circus.
They are being replaced with Contract workers.
The employees have a choice to see if they can get on as a contract worker with no benefits, draw unemployment, or seek another opening.

This is really tough especially when most of these workers are local and our unemployment in the county is already at...

If this deal does get finalized, that will be a good thing for Tunica gamblers. Jack Binion has always believed in making the gambler as happy as possible.

I always liked Goldstrike, but, I think it will be even nicer ran by Jack Binion. Can't wait to hear more updates on what is going on.

Today all the casino employees were buzzing about Jack Binion buying Gold Strike.
Unsure if it is MGM or just Gold Strike.
I haven't seen it in writing anywhere but the grapevine is saying a big meeting happened today with Binion.
Casino workers are thrilled and call it the best news to hit in a long time. Everyone loves working for Binion.
If anyone hears a confirmation let us know.
