Berferd77, sounds like they were using a little common sense then. Gee, when the Government gets involved they really add to the mess don't they? It sounds like now they are doing a census to get ready to do a census, shoot in a few years they will probably then send another person around later to make sure that the houses are still there and people still live there. Shoot, leave it to the polititions and soon we will be doing a census on a yearly basis.

Wonder if I can file a discrimination claim for not having it written in german too.....
We too had a lady stop, though she did not stop at my house...gee, wonder why? I happen to 'spot' her in my neighbors driveway, thought that maybe it was the property appraiser.... anyhow, I 'hollered' over and gave her hell for parking two wheels of her car on my lawn over my sprinklers... she moved the d$%# vehicle in a hurry, and I guess she got enough confirmation to know that...

A lady from the Census came to our house a couple weeks ago, too. Just to check on our address, and give us the little paper you are talking about. What a waste of time and money. I would say, that it would be quicker to phone everyone, but,......................we wouldn't be able to understand the person on the other line! I'm sure they wouldn't be speaking in English!

A person from the census came by my house about 3 weeks ago and handed me that form also. I asked why they were coming around already and he said they are just checking to make sure there are really addresses that are on their list and that people live there.

If this was supposed to be a cost saving act so they don't send out millions of census forms to bogus addresses, I think their actions are nuts. I'm sure it is cheaper to send the census to wrong addresses than to...

YES CHARLES, it does matter! I agree, this is the United States of America, we speak English. BUT, If they are going to put it in Spanish they should put it in every other language also!

Well, I was going to edit my post but there is no edit "button" here. I was going to fix my spelling error and tell you the number of the form the girl left me. Its a D-31. Anyway, I don't guess it matters.

We might as well give up, the Census folks came by my house Friday afternoon, she showed her badge, ask a question, handed me a piece of paper and left.

The paper was from the Census folks explaining some things, it was written in...........................English and Spanish. This is from our on government.
