Paula, I had wondered about you. We are indeed having a meet this weekend but its in Biloxi. I think its going to be smaller then the one in Tunica but who knows? There my be more show up then we think. I hope so. I am looking forward to it.

Jen, I meant to also say like Carol did....the Meets are so much fun and we really look forward to them. I know especially right now, this year, it would be "as hard as pulling teeth" to get a casino to have a Meet. Hopefully we and 2 or 3 other couples will be able to say before long that we are having a mini-meet and ask if others would like to join us. We had such a good time in March when 10 of us got together and ate at the Fitz Buffet. We hope if we can do this you will join...

Jen, I know that you and Charles and Carol are right. The economic situation has reeked havoc with alot of the casinos, maybe especially in Tunica, for one. I know that Biloxi is booming because the casinos are new and everyone can go to the casinos and to the beach in one trip. I just got in a bad mood when Charles said we might not have a Meet, but really I do understand the situation.

And Charles I won't even do anything "minor" much less "major"!

You are right Carol, you read about my meeting up with GA Mels "clan". Gosh, what a good time I had. I could list several mini meets that I have had and everyone I have met are great people.

I whole-heartedly agree that we have been treated very well in the past at our meets. The casino's have really gone out for us and I do think they know we appreciate it. Meets are fun, and always something to look forward to.
Hopefully another one will soon be in the works, but, if not, there are always mini meets for the people on the board. They are fun, too.

It takes time to get these things done.
There's a lot of red tape and explaining why a bunch of people from the internet would want to meet people they know but have never seen.
If employees all stayed in the same positions year after year it would be a whole lot easier. But each year, I have to sell the idea again.
In looking at other meets people have I believe we have all been extremely lucky to have been treated so nicely by the casinos, especially Sheraton.

Like I said, purely speculation on my part about Tunica.

I do hope we have one in Biloxi, we havent had one since 2005, right before Katrina. I have been to two and missed at least one in Tunica since we had the one at the Palace in Biloxi.

It seems to me like us faithful customers deserve a Meet in Tunica as well as those in Biloxi do, Charles. It is too far for some of us to drive. I am considering: we have less money to spend on gas and can't afford to go to Biloxi, Our cars are older now and in not as good repair as before, we are getting older and can't make that long trip,and it just isn' t fair. We may just stop going to the Tunica or any other casinos entirely! How about them apples!! I'm sure all of us...

I cant answer for Jen or anyone else on this board but I suspect with the economy being the way it is that a meet like there has been in the past is out of the question. I doubt if a casino would spend the money.

Has anyone heard if there will be a meet and greet this fall ? Suzanne has to put in for her holidays soon. If there is a meet and greet we would incorporate it into our holidays
