Just saw this trip report and enjoyed it very much.
Never been down to any of the casinos down that way but like to read about them

Glad that you and the hubby had a nice trip and came home with half your bank roll, that is a good trip indeed.

Now you asked about the casinos mid week since you folks work and go on the week ends.
Well we go to Atlantic City alot and I can tell you the economy has hit there and we are there on Sunday...

June, what a great report. I probably would have never driven over to Sams Town for the concert with the threat of sleet, snow, and ice. I have been trapped in a mess like that a couple of times and its not fun. The food at Paula's sounds like fun. Now I would have slipped and sled across the parking lot for that.

There are 4 of the new Wizard of Oz machines .....two Glenda's and two Wicked Ways (monkeys). There are also 4 Star Wars.

I don't really think Sonic tastes like Rally's either although it's been a long time since I've eaten those because there aren't too many around here. I would say they have a taste of their own. I see they have a special now ....a double patty melt. That sounds good. I think I told you I like Culver's better,...

Thanks, Karen. They do look interesting. About how many Wizard machines are there? How many Star Wars? Surely we'll get a chance to play them...I hope.

Now that I got all excited about stopping at South Bend to have one of your favorite Sonic burgers, a friend says they're similar to a Rally burger. I wasn't overly impressed with those. Let's hope the Sonic burger impresses me. It's sure got to beat Four Winds buffet. They even gave it to me free last...

Karen, I'm assuming the 3 Wizard of Oz machines that are at Windsor are the old ones cause they have the flying monkey bonus. How are the newer ones different?

Knowing there's old and new Wizard of Oz machines at Four Winds makes me even more anxious to get back there 2 weeks from today. I might stand a chance of playing on those. In Windsor, you maybe get on one once a year.

Thanks for the trip report. Although I'll probably never get to go back down there, I still enjoy reading about everyone's trips. Sorry you had to deal with the nasty weather but sounds like you had a really nice time.

We have both versions of the Wizard of Oz up here and the new ones are fun, too if you get the bonus often. Unfortunately I don't but I still had fun. I don't ever do well on the old ones. I remember the first time I played the old...

Great trip report! You really made me feel as if I was there when I read it. I could also taste the Southern cooking at Paula's, would love to try the breakfast there, only had lunch and it was wonderful. Great report. Reminded me of when we went to Tunica a couple of years ago and got there just as the ice storm started!! We were staying at Resorts. We also had a concert to go to at Sam's Town the next night, and had to "skid" across the street. We about froze on that trip.

I loved reading all the details of your report. I'm staying one night at Harrahs week after next, then going to the Fitz. My parents love playing at Sam's Town, but I never do well...

Thanks for a great trip report. It just makes me all the more anxious to get there in 10 days (but who's counting?). Hopefully there will be warm weather when we are there. I'm sick of winter. Sounds like you had a wonderful time.

Sounds like you started off making your contribution to Tunica casino's, but, finally turned it around enough that it wasn't too bad for you.

A trip report can never ever be too long !!! The longer the better !!! This one was great ! I had the same experience with crowds in Tunica over Valentine's Day. It seems more crowded than ever.

Excellent trip report, June. That's good you only lost half your allotted money. The free rooms and freeplay make it a little cheaper also.

I'm surprised the casinos were that busy. They make it sound like every casino in the US is going broke.
