Free Slot at Harrahs - Great or a Joke?

Sheraton started this a few months ago. Now Harrahs (Grand) is sending out free play with a code that you enter in the machine to redeeem. I have tried this three weeks in a row. It seems to take about 5 minutes while you just sit there and hope for the best. I get $20 a week. After it goes through the remption process, it then requires you to login again, and play $10 at a time. And then wait 5 minutes for that to happen.

We just got back from a short jaunt to the St. Louis/St. Charles, Missouri casinos, and I'm still popping antacids from the buffet food.

What is the dang deal with casino buffets and the preservative-laden, tasteless fare??! Quantity does not make up for lack of taste and quality food.

I imagine that buying pre-cooked meats, seafood, vegetables and desserts has to be more cost...

Casinos are constantly changing their gambling opportunities, their cashback and comps, their restaurants and their hotel pricing. We become loyal to one or two casinos, but are sometimes forced to change when these casinos no longer meet our needs. Which casino has been the biggest disappointment for you in the past year? (Sorry about the two Sheratons. I can't figure out how to delete the second one.)

We decided to move our vacation up by a week. The only reservations I had made were for Harrahs. We would be stopping in Council Bluffs, Tunica and Biloxi before heading to Orlando. As I made the reservations online, I tried to change them online but ended up having to phone Harrahs.

I've spent many hours answering survey questions, only to be told upon completion that I wasn't in their demographic they were seeking. So sorry that my input and money isn't of interest to you. You would do well to heed our advice, as we are the only ones with disposable monies to invest.

Comp Rooms

I have now tried 3 times to book my free comp rooms (at different times/dates) they (Sam's Town) sends and they do say hurry to book rooms limited but all they offer is smoking rooms, I know smokers that won't book a smoking room. Out of curiosity I looked online without registering my number and sure enough they offer the non smoking on that. I guess they aren't hurting that much if they can turn down non smokers by not having enough non smoking allotted comp rooms....

No Waitresses

Is it harder and harder to find a waitress or waiter in the casino? We usually end up going to the bar and paying full price for a drink, because there are no waitresses on on the floor. They have cut way back on the staff, and it shows. When restaurants claim that they are short-staffed, it must mean they have let many staff peoples go.

Buffet Glasses

On our Tunica trip last week, we observed several buffet customers walking out of the buffet with their iced tea, including the glass. Some customers tried to hide the glass, in napkins or in their coats, while others just walked out with the glass. I'm sure the glasses aren't very expensive, but they aren't disposable items. My question is, what do you think about people taking their glasses with them?

We are having to cancel our anniversary trip!!! My dad, who was suppose to babysit our girls, got married and moved to Michigan. He met this women online and the next thing I know they are married and he is moving 16 hours away from us! They didn't even bother to tell us they were getting married, and seeing that my dad used to live with me, I would have appreciated the heads up. Today marks twice this summer that we have called to make reservations at Gold Strike...and neither time they have had rooms.

I've checked their calendar for September 13-14 range and am not seeing anything. Is there another event in Tunica that weekend?

Regardless, its getting frustrating calling for rooms and them never having them.

hi all i wish that i had known about the lines going up on the slots the last time that we where there the lines then was 9 per bet
omg when we saw all those penny slot it didn't hit us til it was too late 15-20 lines per bet that is awful and you can only win with the max bet

this left a bad taste for me and my hubby the slots where so tight and harrahs-grand sucks and hollywood was NO better.

i think that i will just go see the shows there and no more gambling...
