Tomorrow is Veterans Day in the US and Remembrance Day in Canada. We all have a lot to thank our veterans for. What is so sad in some ways is that a lot of our veterans are now young men who fought in Serbia, Iraq and Afghanistan. As a Candian I am very proud of our soldiers and veterans and I know the pride America has for their soldiers and veterans is immense and deep.

Well, normally, we all like to see 777 on a slot machine. But the stock market fell 777 points today and I sure don't consider that lucky. I don't know about you guys, but I just lost more today in the stock market than I ever lost at the casino. And it wasn't nearly as much fun

There is a new drug known as 'strawberry quick'.

This is a very scary thing going on in the schools right now that we all need to be aware of. There is a type of crystal meth going around that looks like strawberry pop rocks (the candy that sizzles and 'pops' in your mouth). Yesterday morning, Feb 22 they gave Claire a defibrillator/pacemaker. Sounds like a new alternator doesnt it? The doctor said everything went well. Our daughter stayed with her last night, if all went as expected I am to pick her up this morning and bring her home. Hopefully with this in place and with her new meds we can get back to living a more normal life again.

They took Claire down to do the stint yesterday afternoon, the surgeon was back in about 30 minutes, he said that they didn't do the stint. He said it wasn't bad enough and that was not what was causing the problem with her heart.

I will not bore you with details of her stay last night, but she came home and slept almost all afternoon today.

We have an appointment with the Doctor on Wednesday and I hope she will have some options. I don't know what or how or even if they can...

While on our cruise, Claire started having trouble breathing at night, we thought it was sinus. While at the doctor on December 26 she mentioned it, after a chest x-ray and an EKG, they sent her straight over to the cardiologist who decided she was well enough to come back on Jan 2 for a stress test and echocardiogram.
