Was in Tunica 11/14 through 11/16. Thanks to posts here, played VP at Sheraton. Wanted all to know that as of Sunday night alot of machines (VP and nonVP) were taken out of service. The entire bank of 8 machines with 15/11 Deuces on the left side of the casino was taken Out of Service. From my look, all of the VP in the general area of these 8 machines was also taken Out of Service. Other machines on the left side of the casino and towards the center were also Out of Service. Are discretionary comps available at Sam's Town???

Any Sam's Town players, are you able to get any discretionary comps for your play there? Or must you use your club points for any food? If so, do you get them from a host or from the club desk? If you have to use your points, what is the exchange rate???

I went down last Friday to try out some VP. I scoured Harrah's, Gold Strike, Horseshoe, and Sheraton for some good DW. Best I found was a handful of 15/11 machines at Sheraton. Harrah's was running a bunch of 10/8. 16/13 seemed to be the norm at Horseshoe and Gold Strike, not to mention a lot of Ugly Ducks. Fared well on the machine at Sheraton, though, and received excellent drink service. All in all a nice experience. Sheraton definitely still seems to have the best VP...

To the right of the entrance, the machines seem to be the same as before the "upgrades". There are 9/6 JOB available, alongside of 9/5 JOB. There was nothing else in the area to interest me. To the left of the entrance, good machines are hanging in there. I played 15-11 deuces and 9/6 Bonus Deluxe. I couldn't find any 16/10 Deuces so I guess that none survived the move downstairs. ivisited sheraton on 6-1. the vp machines to the left of the main entrance are all still there with the same paytables.to the right of the main entrance all the machines are there but some paytables have been lowered. some of the 9/6DDB has been lowered to 8/5 and they are mixed in with 9/5 machines. the 9/7 DB and 9/6DDB mackines are still there. as i recall one entire carousel has the poor paytables. there has been a hit but not a major one-at least so far. again check those paytables...

I mentioned in another post about my first Royal. You may not have seen it but I mentioned that if you kept trying you would get a Royal sooner or later.

I am putting my trip report from that fateful day back in Jan of 2007 when I got my first Royal. Its a short report but if you read it you can see I was a happy camper when it hit.
