We are going to Tunica the day after Christmas and staying at the Fitz for a few days. I was wondering if the Fitz has the new Goldfish 2 machines or the Glinda machines...or what new ones they do have... we haven't been there since February and are anxious to return... I'm also looking forward to checking out the Sheraton remodeling... It needed a renovation bad, Last time I was there it smelled terrible.

Was in Tunica 11/14 through 11/16. Thanks to posts here, played VP at Sheraton. Wanted all to know that as of Sunday night alot of machines (VP and nonVP) were taken out of service. The entire bank of 8 machines with 15/11 Deuces on the left side of the casino was taken Out of Service. Sheraton started this a few months ago. Now Harrahs (Grand) is sending out free play with a code that you enter in the machine to redeeem. I have tried this three weeks in a row. It seems to take about 5 minutes while you just sit there and hope for the best. I get $20 a week. After it goes through the remption process, it then requires you to login again, and play $10 at a time. And then wait 5 minutes for that to happen.

What are they thinking!!!!!

just got back, harrah's is not comping very much, was told by an employee that they will be comping paula deen buffets from mid december til christmas with 30 minutes of play. however, hollywood is comping like crazy

Last Thursday I checked the prices at Sam's Town for a room on Thanksgiving evening....$37.50. I was gone over the weekend and went back to book a room today to notice it was up to $88. What gives with the quick changes? Are the rooms allotted at a certain price and then go up once a certain amount are gone?

There have been so many new slots on the casino floor in the past year, that I wanted to ask which ones you're enjoying playing the most?

We just got back from an overnight stay in St. Louis at Ameristar. And Harrah's is nearby, so we hit that casino, as well. Harrah's has a few newer slots, but Ameristar was, by far, the most up-to-date.

I've played the Lucky Penguins (or something like that), and hubby had some tremendous wins on them. Me.....not so...

Missed Oct trip

Well for the first time in a long time we had to miss our Oct. trip. In late Sept. Dan had to have a PET scan. They found cancer on his left lung. Thursday they removed a wedge from the lung but it looks like it went down to his lower lobe. It is very small and chemo with radiation should take care of it. At least that is what we are praying for. He should be home this coming Monday but will need lots of prayers. He will have to heal from the operation before he can start the chemo. Dan said...

Have you ever gotten ready to go somewhere in the car, put the key in the ignition, and find that no matter how hard you try to turn it it will not TURN!!!? It is maddening....enough to make a preacher cuss!! I have that happen to me alot with the car I have now. (I think I need a new car!) I discovered that I need to keep a can of WD-40 in my car. When the key won't turn, I put the little, tiny straw that comes with the WD-40 on the nozzle and put it in the key hole and spray a good...

Jerry and I were watching the local news last night when who should appear on the screen but one of my doctors! He has written a country song called, "Every Dog Has His Day". It has been recorded by one of my favorite country singers, Toby Keith! Dr. Waples wrote it to benefit Cancer patients, especially children with lymphoma. Rick and I are going to go to GS for his birthday this weekend. We haven't been down there in a very long time. I have decided to try some penny machines on this trip. What are your favorite machines, how much do you play per bet, and where are these machines? ie: which casino?

Thought I was going to get through the autumn this year without a hospitalization.

For the past 5 years, each autumn has brought something around. One year, I fell off a ladder and broke some ribs and had a minor operation. One year, I had a major aorta operation. A little of this and a little of that.

Last Tuesday (10-20) I had a sore throat. Thursday, I started to cough. No fever. Saturday night at about 10:45 I was gasping for breath. Called 911. Hospital time...

Any Sam's Town players, are you able to get any discretionary comps for your play there? Or must you use your club points for any food? If so, do you get them from a host or from the club desk? If you have to use your points, what is the exchange rate???
